Hailey officials are warning residents Wednesday not to drink water until they boil it.
A water main break has caused water pressure to lower. When pressure lowers it allows for the possible contamination of water.
What should residents do?
DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
CBS 2 reports that inadequately treated water may contain disease-causing organisms.
People at increased risk should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers.
The city expects the problem to be fixed within 72 hours.
