The Boise District BLM is fighting three wildfires near the Blacks Creek and Mayfield Road area southeast of Boise.
Fire crews worked hard through the night to stop fire spread and will continue securing containment lines throughout the day
The Mayfield Fire is approximately 17 miles southeast of Boise. It’s grown to 1,000 acres with Containment expected tonight.
The Prospect Fire is 14 miles southeast of Boise. The fire is now estimated at 500 acres with no estimated control time.
The Pole Fire is also near the intersection of Blacks Creek and Mayfield road, but is only 5 acres in size, with control expected early this evening.
All three fires are believed to be human caused and are under investigation.
