Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods is voluntarily recalling its Signature Select Avocado Chunks due to potential contamination.

The FDA, during a routine sampling, found a positive result for listeria in a sample bag of the product.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.

The recalled avocados have a “Best By” date of Oct. 11, 2020. They were sold in Idaho and 14 other states at stores including Albertsons and Safeway.

Consumers who have purchased the product can discard or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
