Nampa’s streets division will begin chip sealing streets on June 3rd.
Chip sealing is a pavement maintenance practice that extends pavement life and improves driving surfaces. This year, 12 arterial road sections and six subdivisions will be chip sealed.
The main artery roads will be chip sealed before subdivisions, with the first arterial road being South Canyon Street from Lake Lowell Avenue to 12th Avenue South.
The Idaho Press reports, crews hope to complete chipping, fog sealing, paint and thermoplastic applications by early August.
