Boise (670 KBOI News) – The three adults accused of gang raping a Kuna woman are now indicted in the alleged crime.
According to the Idaho Statesman, a grand jury handed up the indictments against Swedi Iyombelo, Elias Lupango and Rashidi Mulanga on Tuesday.
A 16-year old boy was also said to be involved in the gang rape, but he’s being handled in the juvenile justice system. His name appeared in the indictment as Ulimwengu Lupango.
The alleged rape happened in early February, in a car parked in a Kuna neighborhood.
The 18-year old victim had met Iyombelo on social media the day before, and the two were having sex when the other adults and boy showed up, and took turns raping her.
The men are all refugees, who came to Boise from Tanzania…they are being helped in court by a Swahili translator.
