A new report out from Boise Regional Realtors shows that in 2018, Ada County’s average home cost for the year was $314,000. This is up 17.2 percent from 2017, when the average home cost leveled at $290,000.
According to the report, the higher rate could be due to several factors, including the overall rise of new homes being built and rising construction prices.
The Idaho Press reports, the same report shows that the number of existing houses/houses resold over the same period was down 4.1 percent from last year. This continues the 51-month decline streak for Ada county’s overall housing inventory.
