One woman is dead after crashing her car into a canal on Highway 55 near Celeste Street.
The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office says they got the call around 10:30 Sunday morning that a single vehicle had crashed into a canal.
Deputies say they found the vehicle completely submerged with one person inside the vehicle.
CBS 2 News reports, the driver has been identified as a 21-year-old female from the Homedale area, her identification has not been released as next of kin are still being notified.
The crash is under investigation, and it is not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
