Elko, NV (670 KBOI News) – President Trump’s Western campaign tour makes a stop in Elko, and 670 KBOI was there.

Nate Shelman made the four-hour drive there, and said he met a lot of Idahoans also made the early-morning drive to see the Commander-in-Chief.

Shelman says Trump was a team player, bringing Senator Dean Heller onstage, as well as gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt to speak to the crowd.

“He’s willing to go all over the country, this is stop number four.  He’s doing these rallies because he realizes how important these mid-term elections are,” said Shelman, from Elko Saturday.  “He’s doing it for Congressional candidates, he’s doing it for Senate candidates, he’s doing it for gubernatorial candidates, he’s doing it for the Republican Party.”

The crowd was estimated to be between 10-15,000 people.

Trump stuck to his familiar themes, immigration reform, building a border wall, more jobs, improved economy, as well as talking about low unemployment for Hispanics, blacks and women.
