Idaho Red Cross preparing to deploy to Hurricane Michael

Idaho Red Cross volunteers are on standby, preparing to deploy to Hurricane Michael within the next couple of days.

Red Cross staff and volunteers have been busy pivoting supplies and resources from Florence impact zones to Hurricane Michael.

30 Idaho volunteers and an emergency response vehicle just got back from Florence. However, Red Cross staff in Boise say they have a team on the ground ready to support 15,000 people impacted by Hurricane Michael.

CBS 2 News reports, Red cross staff members say in order to keep the nation’s blood supply up, they are asking people to donate blood.

You can donate financial support or give blood. Call 1-800-red-cross or go online at redcross.org for more information.
