Man from Mexico arrested after he was pulled over with nearly 10 pounds of Meth in car

 

 

During a traffic stop near Caldwell Idaho State Police arrested a man suspected of trafficking methamphetamine.

Idaho State Police say a trooper pulled over a vehicle with Washington plates on Interstate 84 near Caldwell, driven by Kevin Rivas-Cardenas of Mexico

Upon further investigation, the trooper discovered nearly 10 pounds of meth hidden within the vehicle.

The driver was booked into the Canyon County Jail on charges of trafficking meth, giving false information to an officer, possessing a controlled substance, possessing paraphernalia with intent to use.

The Idaho Press reports, the jail roster also indicates an immigration hold.
