New Costco neighborhood meeting set for Tuesday in Meridian

It will still likely be at least a year before construction begins on the new Costco store in Meridian, but Costco representatives are taking input from the community on the store’s design.

Meridian residents and representatives from Costco held a neighborhood meeting Tuesday night to discuss design concepts.

CBS 2 News reports another meeting will be announced in the next few weeks, after a more focused design is created.

At this point, Costco has the OK from the City of Meridian to build at Chinden and Ten Mile, but before construction can start, Costco will foot the bill for Chinden Blvd to be widened to 2 lanes in each direction plus a center turn lane, between Highway 16 and Linder.
