Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline Needs Volunteers

The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is in need for more volunteers.

There’s been a 41 percent increase in call volumes, according to a Facebook post by the organization.

The ISPH states the increase is “dramatic” and is asking for volunteers working as Crisis Phone Responders to help fill the void.

CBS 2 News explains, shifts that are in the most need include weekday from 8pm to 12am and all weekends.

ISPH team says it will train all volunteers, with every shift supervised by staff. Applications are due on September 14th, and training begins on September 27th.
