Boise State President’s State of the University address

Boise State University’s fall semester is about to begin. Activities kick off this week with Interim President Martin Schimpf’s State of the University address at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, on the main stage of the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. Media are invited to attend.

Thousands of new Broncos will arrive on the Boise State University campus on Friday, Aug. 17. It’s move-in day (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) for students who will call campus home this year.  Also on Friday, new freshmen — the class of 2022 — and their families will gather at 3 p.m. in Taco Bell Arena for Convocation, marking the beginning of their Boise State academic experience. They then will take a ceremonial walk to Albertsons Stadium, where they will form a giant “B” on the blue field.

A variety of Bronco Welcome Week activities are planned, including a water slide, the popular “shortstack shindig” and much more. See a full schedule at https://broncowelcome.boisestate.edu/.
