ORIGINAL POST:

BLM and local fire crews have responded to a brush fire on Bogus Basin Road in the foothills of Boise.  The the fire is east of Cartwright, west of Bogus Basin Road and is estimated at 20-30 acres.

The latest information indicates structures are not in immediate danger… dispatch did indicate there could be problems if the wind were to become a major issue, but that is currently not the case.

A helicopter has also recently been dispatched to the fire.

There is no current word on what caused the fire to start. Flames and smoke are visible at this time, and the fire is burning in brush and other vegetation that has become especially dry over the last several weeks of hot and dry conditions.
