Daycare license suspended after leaving child at Lakeview Park

A day care’s license has been suspended by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.

The Department of Health and Welfare says it received a police report stating the day care forgot a 3-year-old child at Lakeview Park.

CBS 2 News reports, staff members of Little Angels Day Care didn’t realize the child was missing until they were back at the day care preparing other kids for nap time.

Health and welfare says someone found the child and contacted police.

The Idaho child care program became aware of the incident after a complaint from a community member, and terminated the day care’s participation in its program.

The reason for the termination according to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, is that they didn’t report the child missing within 24 hours of the incident.
