UPDATE: One victim of Saturday’s Stabbing Attack Dies, One Released From Hospital, Suspect Charged

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Here’s an update to the story of the mass stabbing that happened Saturday night in West Boise.

The Boise Police Department has issued a statement, saying a three-year old girl who was wounded in the attack has died. She had been flown to a hospital in Utah for treatment. Her name is not yet being released.

As for the other eight victims, one child was treated and released, but the seven are still in the hospital, some with very serious or critical injuries.

Mayor Dave Bieter issued a statement, saying in part, “The thought of a happy occasion like a child’s birthday party being turned into the darkest of sorrows in such a vicious way is almost unfathomable. I know every Boisean joins me in sending our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones, as well as continued thoughts and prayers to the other eight victims recovering from their injuries.”

Meanwhile, Timmy Kinner, the LA man accused of attacking the group of party goers, is charged with 1st degree murder, and aggravated battery with a weapons enhancement. His preliminary hearing is set for July 16th.

Beat the Cowboys!

Beat the Cowboys!

I’m going to make this short and sweet. Boise State has to knock off a couple of Cowboys in order for this to be a HISTORIC season for the Broncos. Boise State is currently ranked by the AP at #17 in the country. With a win over Oklahoma State on Saturday (if they win)…

What’s in a name?

I thought I was original.  Not quite, though.  On Saturday, the Boise State Broncos play the University of Connecticut Huskies at Albertson’s Stadium.  It’s a late game.  Kickoff isn’t until 8:15pm. I generally refer to the team as “Connecticut”.  A lot of other people call it “UConn”.  I’m not a huge fan of nicknames, cliches…
