Which Company Applied for a Conditional Use Permit in Nampa?

Nampa (670 KBOI News) – A big-time mover and shaker in the online retail world may be looking at Nampa as the site of a warehouse and distribution center.

Nampa Economic Development Director Beth Ineck says there’s a non-disclosure agreement in place, so she can’t mention the name of the company, but they have filed for a conditional use permit.

“They have identified a site on Franklin Road in Nampa here, that they are evaluating for a facility,” said Ineck.  “We’ve been working closely with the developer on it.  So they would need a conditional use (permit) through the City, to allow for a warehousing and distribution facility at that location because of the current zoning.”

The developer is Panattoni Development Company, which, according to the Idaho Press, has built a number of distribution centers in other states for Amazon.

In fact, the application for the permit calls the project “PREDEV Amazon BTS”.

Ineck says if the project is built here, it could create thousands of jobs.
