Boise (670 KBOI News) – The Ada County Coroner’s office confirms that four people died in the fiery crash Saturday night around 11:30.

The coroner says the identification of those who died could take several days due to the condition of their bodies.

KBOI 2-TV reports Mountain Home Air Force Base said three airmen from the base were involved in the crash, but it’s unknown if they were among those killed, or if they were injured.

Idaho State Police says the crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-84, east of the Eagle road interchange, at the Cloverdale overpass, which was damaged and remains closed.

According to ISP, a commercial vehicle and SUV were traveling eastbound when they slowed for construction traffic. A second commercial vehicle struck the SUV and the first commercial vehicle…four other vehicles were involved in the crash.
