BPD: Man Intentionally Concealed Pistol in Checked Luggage

Boise (670 KBOI News) – From time to time, we tell you about someone who mistakenly left a firearm in their carry-on bag, while trying to get on an airplane.

But a man is in the Ada County Jail on a charge of felony Weapon Aboard an Aircraft after he allegedly concealed a firearm in his checked baggage.  Haley Williams with the Boise Police Department says he did it on purpose.

“Boise Police officers who are assigned to work at the Airport, were alerted by TSA screeners.  They had discovered an unloaded handgun that had been intentionally concealed in a passenger’s concealed luggage,” said Williams.

Milan Reskovic of Boise is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 5th…he’s charged with felony weapon aboard an aircraft. He’s being held in the Ada County Jail.

Williams said they couldn’t give any details on how they knew it was intentionally concealed, because the investigation is ongoing.

It is legal to carry a firearm in checked baggage, but it must be unloaded, declared and stored in a locked, hard sided case.
