For Mother’s Day, a salute to an amazing young lady…

It’s been 2 1/2 years since the passing of my Mom.  She made it to the century mark of 100 years. She was an amazingly loving and caring mother.

I could write this about her, but I want to take the opportunity for this coming Mother’s Day to salute my Daughter Amber! She’s grown into an absolutely amazing young lady and mother to my first grandchild who just turned three. Now she’s due to deliver her second child in early July, this time a little boy! Amber works from home in quite a demanding field, which can mean many evening hours but even with being 6 months pregnant, she balances work and home life (including two dogs and a crazy cat), is a wonderful, loving and attentive mom. Her husband is a great supporting guy who also does a load of things to help out, but works nights, which means Amber has some pretty crazy days, until he gets up early afternoon and can help out. I’m so very proud of the young lady she’s become and wanted to give her a little “fame” here for Mother’s Day!

Conference thoughts

College football conferences are infuriating.  They’re inconsistent, and they only make a lot of sense if you look at them from a single point of view.  And that point of view is money.  Money, naturally, makes the world go around.  Or at least it makes the United States go around while the world is going…

BLOG: Nice to see Bronco Nation Again

BLOG: Nice to see Bronco Nation Again

Rick Worthington   This is just my own observation…. When I first moved to Idaho, Coach Pete had Boise State rolling. Kellen Moore was piling up the wins and the NFL was getting it’s share of Broncos to the professional ranks. I also rarely saw a car or truck without a Boise State flag or…

“Albuquerque”, what’s in a name…

For someone who’s never been to Albuquerque, I feel as if I’ve always known quite a bit about it.  Boise State plays the University of New Mexico football team tonight in Albuquerque.  I know exactly where I first heard of the city.  It was in Bugs Bunny cartoons.  More than once, Bugs emerged from digging…
