Boise (670 KBOI News) – If you qualify, a state property tax relief program could save you a bunch of money on your taxes this year…like up to $1,300.
It’s called the Property Tax Reduction Program, more commonly known as the “circuit breaker”. Ada County Assessor Bob McQuade says if you’re interested, you need to act quickly, because the deadline to file is April 17th, and there are qualifications.
“In addition to (the home) being owner-occupied, you have to be age 65 or older, or disabled as recognized by the Social Security Administration, veterans with a 10% or more disability that’s service-connected, and the 2017 net income cannot exceed $30,050,” said McQuade.
