Idaho Education on Display Monday at State Capitol

Idaho State Department of Education programs and initiatives will take center stage at the State Capitol Monday, at a legislative open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first floor Rotunda.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra says, “This is an exciting opportunity for us to show lawmakers, and the people they represent, the return on their investment and what we’re doing to help schools and students throughout the state succeed.”

Sixteen tables around the Rotunda will showcase SDE departments and priorities, including mastery-based education, rural school support and meeting broadband and wireless needs in Idaho schools.

The open house is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Capitol.
