On Monday at approximately 4:15 p.m., ISP began investigating a three-vehicle crash on I84 near milepost 165, west of Jerome.
Scott Muenzenmayer, of Sparks, NV, was traveling eastbound in pickup when a tire blew. He lost control, traveled through the median and collided head-on with another truck, driven by Sebastian Sabala of Gooding.
Muenzenmayer’s vehicle was then struck by Freightliner.
In all, four people were taken by ground ambulance to St Lukes Magic Valley, while one man was air lifted to St Alphonsus in Boise, but no lives were lost.
The lanes of travel were partially blocked for about 3 hours.
