National Weather Service Extends Flood Warning Along Boise River

The National Weather Service has extended its flood warning for areas along the Boise River.

The river is flowing at 8,800 CFS and the NWS says the warehouse district in Garden City can expect water to continue to threaten buildings. This is the area between 45th to 47th streets.

KBOI-2-TV reports, there is a trailer park and junkyard in the area threatened as well.

Blaine County emergency managers say the the spring runoff is causing significant issues. Conditions are quickly becoming more dangerous.

There is a flood warning in effect for Central Boise County and Northeastern Elmore County until 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Idaho Power says its monitoring conditions in the Pine/Featherville area. Heavy spring runoff is causing flooding and has some of the power company’s utilities under water.
