Nampa man sentenced for escaping jail

A Nampa man is sentenced after escaping the tent jail with another inmate.

Juan Cervantes is sentenced to eight years in prison after escaping the Canyon County tent facility with another inmate in October.

Three years of the sentence are fixed, followed by two years indeterminate for his felony escape and three for a possession charge.

Cervantes was originally arrested in early May for having meth according to police and then escaped the tent facility with Jeffrey Duvall on October 1st.

There is no word on the other inmates sentence.
